The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Edvaldo Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Manaus FC's zone, Murilo Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvaldo Peres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murilo Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Ruy Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Manaus FC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edvaldo Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Pensamento were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
