Tiaguinho Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Eliézer Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Dragão do Norte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliézer Rosado couldn't finish the play. Geribues's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Eliézer Rosado scored to the left of an out of position Betinho de Amaral, making the score, 1-0. Samuca Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antônio Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guto Gamalov's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Eliézer Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Dragão do Norte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliézer Rosado couldn't finish the play. After having played for 40 minutes, Samuca Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geribues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Betinho de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliézer Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Betinho de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuca Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Guto Gamalov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Guto Gamalov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Saldanha in the 61st minute of play forced Dragão do Norte FC's goalkeeper Antônio Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Guto Gamalov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Geribues fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Zé Pedro Catarinense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Antônio Mandrak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Antônio Mandrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guto Gamalov in the 80th minute. If Samuca Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Antônio Carlos Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragão do Norte FC's protests and gave Antônio Carlos Carioca a yellow card for diving instead. Antônio Carlos Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Geribues were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Dragão do Norte FC to leave the ground with a draw.
