An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Oliveira in the 17th minute of play forced Bomba FC's goalkeeper Glauco de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Glauco de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Flavinho Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavinho Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Flavinho Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amaro AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco de Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Frédson Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Frédson Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glauco de Lima. Bomba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frédson Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After 55 played minutes Amaro AD got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Recife. In the 55th minute, Frédson Recife fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Glauco de Lima moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. After 58 played minutes Bomba FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Travassos in the 61st minute of play forced Amaro AD's goalkeeper Moisés Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséias Trevisan during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moisés Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luiz Fabiano Torres fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bomba FC's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Torres a yellow card for diving instead. 64 minutes into the game, one of Bomba FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gustavo Sabóia walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Oliveira in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauco de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Flavinho Oliveira took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Glauco de Lima to make any attempt to save it. Carlos Augusto Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Moisés Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frédson Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Arlindo Severo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Amaro AD's Moisés Tande. Moisés Tande was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Bomba FC's zone, Flavinho Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco de Lima came out of the goal and Flavinho Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Frédson Recife came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Amaro AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Recife couldn't finish the play. 99 minutes into the game, Zé Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bomba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amaro AD the free kick. A collision led to Bomba FC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Zé Rezende hit a great ball. Amaro AD played a much better game than Bomba FC and deserved their victory. The Bomba FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
