If Baltazar Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Baltazar Luz came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SpartacuS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Luz couldn't finish the play. If Filipe Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Mandrak having to interfere. Antônio Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Baltazar Luz took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Mandrak. Antônio Mandrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to SpartacuS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. José Carlos Loureiro hit a great ball. If Filipe Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Loureiro in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Filipe Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. SpartacuS's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Rocha hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Dragão do Norte FC's Antônio Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Paraibano in the 45th minute of play. André Luiz Branco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. SpartacuS were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Dragão do Norte FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roberto Rocha took the corner. After taking down the ball on SpartacuS's corner Roberto Rocha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Antônio Mandrak quite easily take care of the ball.

After having played for 53 minutes, Ciro Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragão do Norte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltazar Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Mandrak having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Dragão do Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Rocha. Eliézer Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paes having to interfere. André Luiz Branco succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After some careless play in the Dragão do Norte FC defense, Baltazar Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Mandrak. The Dragão do Norte FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Mandrak should have stopped the shot. After 80 minutes of play, Dragão do Norte FC's Betinho de Moraes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Paraibano got free with Antônio Mandrak in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filipe Paraibano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 88th playminute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SpartacuS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
