Bomba FC's Glauco de Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Bomba FC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Glauco de Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Geribues's Guto Gamalov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Bomba FC booed when Geribues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zé Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bomba FC's protests and gave Zé Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. Alexsandro Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 43 minutes of play, Geribues's Guto Gamalov made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glauco de Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Guto Gamalov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glauco de Lima was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arlindo Severo made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Guto Gamalov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geribues's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Gamalov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco de Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glauco de Lima came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Geribues's Samuca Saldanha. But to his dismay, Samuca Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Carlos Augusto Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geribues's Osmar Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Gamalov in the 68th minute of play forced Bomba FC's goalkeeper Glauco de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Bomba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Torres to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Bomba FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Faria. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dida de Brito in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauco de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute of the match Guto Gamalov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glauco de Lima skillfully saved the ball.
