Baltazar Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Moisés de Lima from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Manuel Paes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The nice shot from Dorival Koehler in the 32ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Manuel Paes had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Dorival Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paes having to interfere. Breno Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Loureiro in the 35th minute of play. Dorival Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Livramentense Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Luz came free, but Breno Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Luz in the 47th minute of play forced Livramentense Sport Club's goalkeeper Breno Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. When Baltazar Luz came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SpartacuS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Luz couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, SpartacuS's Breno Galvão threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltazar Luz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Breno Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Loureiro in the 73rd minute of the match. The Livramentense Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. SpartacuS were furious when Albertinho de Alcântara was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
