The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo Soares got free with Marcelo Santos in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cejam FC's Marcelo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Sousa in the 9th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Matos's late challenge caught a Prazeres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Cejam FC's protests and gave Silvinho Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandinho Maciel in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cejam FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Prazeres's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olavo Garcia took the corner. After taking down the ball on Cejam FC's corner Olavo Garcia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Josué Barros quite easily take care of the ball. Fernandinho Maciel scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Sousa in the 28th minute of play forced Cejam FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Soares succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. When Acácio Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prazeres's protests and gave Acácio Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Acácio Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Maciel in the 37th minute of the match. Doriva Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Barros having to make a save. Fernandinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Rafa Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandinho Maciel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Barros having to make a save. Fernandinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josué Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho Maciel went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes in the game, Doriva Pereira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Josué Barros having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Prazeres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Prazeres's goalkeeper Josué Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Pereira. If Fernandinho Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Sousa scored 2-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Cejam FC defense, Emanuel Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Santos. The Cejam FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Santos should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Cejam FC's Olavo Garcia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Prazeres's Josué Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Maciel in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the game, Rafa Tepedino landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Manuel Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cejam FC's protests and gave Manuel Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Cejam FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Neiva. Emanuel Sousa, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Doriva Pereira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Cejam FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Maciel in the 89th minute of play forced Prazeres's goalkeeper Josué Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes, Ruy Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prazeres and the Cejam FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Prazeres getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ruy Brasil hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes Cejam FC got a freekick which was hit by Dário Marinho. 94 minutes into the match, Cejam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Soares came free, but Marcelo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernandinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Josué Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
