A collision led to Philipps FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Wanderson de Azevedo hit a great ball. Magno Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Dante having to interfere. Philipps FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jerônimo Fernandes 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Philipps FC's zone, Magno Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Dante came out of the goal and Magno Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jerônimo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Philipps FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Régis Velasco in the 27th minute. The corner ended in Régis Velasco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares did a great save. Nelson Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Philipps FC's Carlos Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Valadares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Philipps FC's goalkeeper Nelson Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Magno Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nelson Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Guerra's late challenge caught a Guiratinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Guiratinga booed when Philipps FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Guerra made a kick off. Nelson Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Fernandes in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Serafim Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Magno Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Guiratinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Cabral couldn't finish the play. Nelson Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Breckenfeld in the 59th minute of the match. Magno Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipps FC's Nelson Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Cabral in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Serafim Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Philipps FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guiratinga the free kick. If Jerônimo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Magno Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guiratinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Philipps FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Gerber. After a defensive mix-up in Philipps FC's zone, Magno Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Dante came out of the goal and Magno Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Cabral in the 93rd minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guiratinga had played much better football throughout.
