After a defensive mix-up in Soad FC's zone, Doriva Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Bastos came out of the goal and Doriva Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Dário Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cejam FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soad FC the free kick. After 7 played minutes Cejam FC got a freekick which was hit by Dário Marinho. Doriva Pereira kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 12thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Soad FC's keeper Maurício Bastos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a little luck, Soad FC's Maurício Bastos got control of the ball when Doriva Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurício Bastos. Soad FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandinho Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Doriva Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurício Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedito Dantas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. After 31 minutes, Edmílson da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soad FC and the Cejam FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Soad FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson da Mata. Doriva Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Maurício Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cejam FC's Marcelo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Loureiro in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmílson da Mata to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Maciel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Maurício Bastos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benedito Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maurício Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Neiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurício Bastos. Soad FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th minute, Fernandinho Maciel made a precise shot to the right of Maurício Bastos. Soad FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Doriva Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurício Bastos came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Cejam FC's Fernandinho Maciel. But to his dismay, Fernandinho Maciel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Fernandinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Maurício Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes, Cejam FC's Manuel Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurício Bastos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cejam FC reached it. After having played for 75 minutes, Gildo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cacá Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soad FC's protests and gave Cacá Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. Cacá Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Bastos was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. David Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Maurício Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Maciel's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Fernandinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cejam FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
