Maurício Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magno Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Bastos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Soad FC's zone, Magno Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Bastos came out of the goal and Magno Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerônimo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Bastos having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Magno Cabral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maurício Bastos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson da Mata in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Soad FC's Juvenal Valadares threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltazar Matos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Cabral in the 25th minute of play forced Soad FC's goalkeeper Maurício Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Fernandes in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Bastos saved Soad FC from getting behind. Maurício Bastos came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Guiratinga's Magno Cabral. But to his dismay, Magno Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Magno Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Bastos having to interfere. Jerônimo Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Soad FC got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Loureiro. Magno Cabral struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Maurício Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guiratinga. If Magno Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Soad FC's Edmílson da Mata got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Maurício Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Novaes in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurício Bastos. Jerônimo Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Soad FC's Maurício Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Soad FC from getting a goal against them. Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Loureiro in the 78th minute of play. If Jerônimo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gualter Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson da Mata in the 84th minute of play. If Cacá Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Fernandes in the 92nd minute of play forced Soad FC's goalkeeper Maurício Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magno Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Maurício Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Bastos made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Magno Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Guiratinga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
