Edson Madureira started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Prazeres getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ivo Soares hit a great ball. Josué Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Garcia in the 10th minute of play forced Prazeres's goalkeeper Josué Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulysses Garcia went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Josué Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edson Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Acácio Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Sousa struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ciro Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prazeres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Tepedino in the 27th minute of play forced Maripa Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ciro Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Maripa Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Soares came free, but Ciro Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Acácio Saraiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prazeres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Prazeres's Josué Barros got control of the ball when Daniel Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Prazeres's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Lira came free, but Josué Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Ulysses Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Barros. Prazeres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulysses Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Josué Barros came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Maripa Futebol Clube's Ulysses Garcia. But to his dismay, Ulysses Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Humberto Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Josué Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Daniel Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maripa Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maripa Futebol Clube's Edson Madureira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu Baptista hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Ciro Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Sousa in the 74th minute of play. Josué Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Garcia in the 75th minute of play. Josué Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Breckenfeld in the 79th minute of play. If Daniel Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. After 97 minutes of play, Prazeres's Ivo Soares made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Maripa Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
