Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SUSSUARANA FC's Jerônimo de Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Caco Freitas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SUSSUARANA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Guto Bittencourt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Telmo Esteves 8 minutes into the match. Mauro Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Esteves having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fraga's Guto Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Telmo Esteves. That made the score 2-1 after 16 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Freitas in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SUSSUARANA FC's Telmo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Bittencourt in the 36th minute of play. Telmo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Bittencourt in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to SUSSUARANA FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Fábio Lira hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guto Bittencourt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Telmo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Mauro Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas de Carvalho during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douglas de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Caco Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo de Medeiros in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Caco Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emerson Rossi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Lago in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Esteves saved SUSSUARANA FC from getting behind. Guto Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guto Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. After 80 played minutes Fraga got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto de Brito. Telmo Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Lago in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mauro Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraga's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind SUSSUARANA FC's goalkeeper Telmo Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fraga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
