After a defensive mix-up in Carumbe EC's zone, Magno Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Matos came out of the goal and Magno Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Félix during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carumbe EC's Luiz Gustavo Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Carumbe EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Carumbe EC's Tadeu Brodel got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carumbe EC's zone, Magno Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Matos came out of the goal and Magno Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Valadares came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Carumbe EC's Arlindo Félix. But to his dismay, Arlindo Félix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jerônimo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luiz Gustavo Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Carumbe EC booed when Guiratinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vale in the 16th minute of play. When Raí Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guiratinga's protests and gave Raí Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. Raí Catarinense hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Arlindo Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 18th minute of the match Raí Catarinense completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Raí Catarinense a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Carumbe EC's Luiz Gustavo Matos got control of the ball when Magno Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magno Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Luiz Gustavo Matos made a huge save. Juvenal Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Juvenal Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Guiratinga's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Vale came free, but Juvenal Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Gualter Ceresso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guiratinga and the Carumbe EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carumbe EC booed when Guiratinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Cláudio Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Valadares. Guiratinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cláudio Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Cabral made a kick off. A collision led to Guiratinga getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gualter Ceresso hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Cláudio Trancoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juvenal Valadares, 0-3. After 58 minutes, Tarcisio Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guiratinga and the Carumbe EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Guiratinga got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Garcia. When Arlindo Félix came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Carumbe EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Félix couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Brodel in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Edson Vale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juvenal Valadares. The goal made the score 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Félix in the 68th minute of play forced Guiratinga's goalkeeper Juvenal Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magno Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carumbe EC's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juvenal Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Trancoso in the 81st minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Edson Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carumbe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amauri Zanette's late challenge caught a Guiratinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carumbe EC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Amauri Zanette hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Magno Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Magno Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Carumbe EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
