The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oscar Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Paranavai's goalkeeper Arí Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Souto. Haroldo Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Paranavai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Haroldo Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Frank Palmeira took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Veiga. Charles Veiga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nelsinho Souto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Arí Severo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nelsinho Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Paranavai booed when FC Buteco Dos Noobs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe das Neves in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Leal in the 48th minute of play forced Paranavai's goalkeeper Arí Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Leal was the one to do the kick off. Beto Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the game, FC Buteco Dos Noobs's Nelsinho Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arí Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 73 minutes, Felipe das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paranavai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 played minutes FC Buteco Dos Noobs got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Alagoano. Charles Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Nelsinho Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buteco Dos Noobs's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beto Leal struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Arí Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Buteco Dos Noobs. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
