Leopoldo Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio Braga went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hortêncio Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Penha in the 18th minute of play. Delfim Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greenback Boogie SC's Waldir Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fronteiro SC's Ramón Rossi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hortêncio Zanette in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Delfim Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Greenback Boogie SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Lucas couldn't finish the play. Waldir Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greenback Boogie SC's Delfim Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Fronteiro SC's zone, Waldir Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Meira came out of the goal and Waldir Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greenback Boogie SC's Delfim Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Fronteiro SC's Enrique Dantas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hortêncio Zanette. Hortêncio Zanette yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Greenback Boogie SC's Delfim Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim Lucas to make the kick off. Delfim Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Meira having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Bebeto Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Greenback Boogie SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fronteiro SC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Greenback Boogie SC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Nogueira. 58 minutes into the match, Fronteiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Lucas came free, but Leopoldo Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greenback Boogie SC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Fronteiro SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delfim Lucas took the corner. The corner led Greenback Boogie SC's Bebeto Nogueira to a score. 1-2 in the 60th minute. Edinho Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edinho Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Fronteiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Penha to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fronteiro SC booed when Greenback Boogie SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Zanette having to interfere. Hortêncio Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Bebeto Nogueira hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Enrique Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Greenback Boogie SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Penha came free, but Hortêncio Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Waldir Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 87 minutes, Olívio Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenback Boogie SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldir Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Waldir Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greenback Boogie SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Waldir Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olívio Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Meira having to interfere.
