The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ademir Bertassi hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luís Paulo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Naldo Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lhoraca were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Jacurutu to leave the ground with a draw.
