The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when TORMENTO MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo F.C.'s Dadá Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. TORMENTO MZFC's Andrézinho Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Azevedo in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Dadá Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dadá Sergipano took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrézinho Mandrak. Andrézinho Mandrak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Dadá Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the São Paulo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Sergipano couldn't finish the play. If Lucas Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, TORMENTO MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Andrézinho Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cícero Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. A hard shot 68 in the game by Dadá Sergipano from a close distance when the talented Andrézinho Mandrak managed to make a qualified save. TORMENTO MZFC's players were relieved. In a very dangerous position, a player in TORMENTO MZFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedé Batista during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes TORMENTO MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Batista. TORMENTO MZFC's Andrézinho Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save TORMENTO MZFC from getting a goal against them. Cícero Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Mandrak having to interfere. The supporters of São Paulo F.C. booed when TORMENTO MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded São Paulo F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TORMENTO MZFC.
