Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lenílson Gonçalves to make the kick off. Flatoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Lenílson Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luís Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Maranhense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Gonçalves in the 96th minute of play forced Flatoria's goalkeeper Dário Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
