Spectators: 7070 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Narciso Fontes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Osmar Quintal made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Durval Paraíba sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durval Paraíba got free with Osmar Quintal in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Conrado Pirani hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Britto in the 15th minute of play forced Micool's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Paraíba scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osmar Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Osmar Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes of play, Micool's Durval Paraíba made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Quintal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 29 minutes, Juvenal Motta made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gremio's Osmar Quintal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Durval Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Quintal having to interfere. Durval Paraíba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Osmar Quintal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Gremio's goalkeeper Osmar Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval Paraíba. When Renatinho Britto fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio's protests and gave Renatinho Britto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Renatinho Britto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelsinho de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 54 played minutes Micool got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Maia. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinei Veiga got free with Nelsinho de Almeida in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederico Vale took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho de Almeida. Nelsinho de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Micool's Nelsinho de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Micool from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Vale got free with Nelsinho de Almeida in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Micool's Nelsinho de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Britto in the 63rd minute of play. After 66 played minutes Micool got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Pirani. After having played for 67 minutes, Claudinei Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Micool's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Narciso Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Nelsinho de Almeida, making the score, 4-3. Daniel Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nelsinho de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Micool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Recife to maneuver through the defense. Micool's Nelsinho de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Micool from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Gremio getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Reinaldo Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Jonathan Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmar Quintal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Narciso Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nelsinho de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
