The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Favoretto during the 3rd minute. If Durval Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Jonathan Recife sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Pimenta skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Guimarães Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Paraíba came free, but Conrado Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a left leg Nelsinho de Almeida saved Micool from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Diguinho Prado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelsinho de Almeida. Micool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diguinho Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 78thth minute of the game Juvenal Motta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guimarães Futebol Clube's Conrado Pimenta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Micool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Motta to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Conrado Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zé Paulo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th match minute, Micool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo Maia to maneuver through the defense.
