The supporters of S.D Lambrusco booed when Ibirocaim SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, S.D Lambrusco's Luiz Fabiano Zonta tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Ibirocaim SS's Kléber Barreto got control of the ball when Carlos Augusto Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, Renatinho Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 minutes, Arlindo Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.D Lambrusco and the Ibirocaim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Arlindo Pinheiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Arlindo Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Richard Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Manfredo Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Carlos Augusto Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.D Lambrusco's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléber Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Silva got free with Kléber Barreto in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richard Paraibano to strike the kick off in the second half. Ibirocaim SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 84th minute, Samuel Fonseca had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Elivélton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Mendes having to interfere. If Elivélton Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
