A collision led to Bananeiras FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Célio Amaral hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Ibirocaim SS's Elivélton Mesquita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivo Xavier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elivélton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Xavier having to interfere. Basílio Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kléber Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play Bananeiras FC's Samuca Pimenta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Bananeiras FC's Samuca Pimenta got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ivo Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Paraibano in the 60th minute of the match. After 62 minutes of play, Ibirocaim SS's Richard Paraibano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Elivélton Mesquita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibirocaim SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Frederico Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. The audience was convinced that Richard Paraibano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivo Xavier was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. If Richard Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Paraibano's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ibirocaim SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bananeiras FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
