A collision led to Camelia SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Sarmento hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Otávio Mazza notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Camelia SS's Claudinei Coutinho. Claudinei Coutinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Otávio Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Coutinho having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Otávio Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camelia SS's Claudinei Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinei Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Mazza in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Camelia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 37 minutes, Otávio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caveirão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Duarte was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and André de Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André de Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Mazza got free with Claudinei Coutinho in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Caveirão booed when Camelia SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Moura in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65thth minute of the game Breno Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camelia SS's Claudinei Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Otávio Mazza in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudinei Coutinho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Breno Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Otávio Mazza could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Claudinei Coutinho however easily saved by the left post. Caveirão's Breno Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Duda Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caveirão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camelia SS the free kick. Duda Senna hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match, Otávio Mazza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claudinei Coutinho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Camelia SS's Pedro Augusto Sarmento got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Caveirão left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Camelia SS.
