Jamandua AD's José Vítor Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, José Vítor Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamandua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ibirocaim SS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dé Sanches hit a great ball. João Adolfo Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Adolfo Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Ibirocaim SS got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Pimenta. If Gilmar Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Jamandua AD's Zé de Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kléber Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Ibirocaim SS's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Saldanha came free, but Kléber Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivélton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Cearense having to interfere. Kléber Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. José Vítor Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kléber Barreto having to make a save. When Gilmar Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Jamandua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilmar Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ibirocaim SS's Pedro Paulo Jacinto got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes, Jamandua AD's José Vítor Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kléber Barreto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jamandua AD reached it. Gilmar Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ibirocaim SS's Kléber Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Mello in the 71st minute of play. When Dé Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirocaim SS's protests and gave Dé Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. Jamandua AD made a substitution. Ernesto Eger replaced Luís Guilherme Dracena. Dé Sanches hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kléber Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Carlos Saldanha in the 82nd minute.
