Basílio Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rodriguinho Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Favoretto in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bananeiras FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rubens Macedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Stunts Sport Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rubens Macedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivo Xavier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basílio Favoretto made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Stunts Sport Club's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Salgado. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Favoretto in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguinho Maranhense saved Stunts Sport Club from getting behind. With a little luck, Stunts Sport Club's Rodriguinho Maranhense got control of the ball when Frederico Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Sydney Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stunts Sport Club's protests and gave Sydney Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Stunts Sport Club's Sydney Tasso got a free kick in the 60th minute. Frederico Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rodriguinho Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Frederico Salgado sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Bananeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Porto came free, but Ivo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denílson Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Xavier having to interfere. Basílio Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute of the match, Basílio Favoretto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodriguinho Maranhense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Frederico Salgado struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rodriguinho Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bananeiras FC. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
