After 19 minutes, Paulão Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stunts Sport Club and the S.D Lambrusco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Stunts Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Velasco. After 24 played minutes S.D Lambrusco got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Lago. After a defensive mix-up in S.D Lambrusco's zone, Denílson Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo Mendes came out of the goal and Denílson Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Augusto Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. S.D Lambrusco's Manfredo Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Bezerra in the 42nd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatinho Bueno made a kick off. In the 57th minute, S.D Lambrusco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after José Vítor Porto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manfredo Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Carlos Augusto Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Maranhense having to interfere. Rodriguinho Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Stunts Sport Club's Denílson Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfredo Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, S.D Lambrusco's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Bezerra came free, but Manfredo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stunts Sport Club's zone, Renatinho Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho Maranhense came out of the goal and Renatinho Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.D Lambrusco's Carlos Augusto Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manfredo Mendes made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when José Vítor Porto sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Augusto Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Renatinho Bueno took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Maranhense. Rodriguinho Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.D Lambrusco fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stunts Sport Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
