Leonardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Mello in the 14th minute of the match. Leonardo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when José Carlos Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Reis during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, GHELMAN FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Reis to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 27 minutes of play, GHELMAN FC's Hortêncio de Moraes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Jamandua AD defense, Edu de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Cearense. The Jamandua AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Cearense should have stopped the shot. When Luís Guilherme Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamandua AD's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of GHELMAN FC booed when Jamandua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, José Carlos Saldanha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of GHELMAN FC's Leonardo Maranhense. Leonardo Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júlio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of GHELMAN FC booed when Jamandua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes GHELMAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Edu de Souza. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

GHELMAN FC's Leonardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Gaúcho in the 51st minute of play. Júlio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, GHELMAN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Martins came free, but Leonardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes GHELMAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Alagoano. 70 minutes into the match, GHELMAN FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Mello came free, but Leonardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio de Moraes in the 78th minute of play forced Jamandua AD's goalkeeper Júlio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu de Souza took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Cearense. Júlio Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamandua AD's goalkeeper Júlio Cearense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jamandua AD's Júlio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio de Moraes in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the GHELMAN FC defense, José Vítor Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Maranhense. The GHELMAN FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Maranhense should have stopped the shot. If José Carlos Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Cearense came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by GHELMAN FC's Ezequiel Reis. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The GHELMAN FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
