Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Richard Paraibano took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jamandua AD's Júlio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Paraibano in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Jamandua AD booed when Ibirocaim SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Ibirocaim SS's goalkeeper Kléber Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Vítor Mello. In the 11th minute Elivélton Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Richard Paraibano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Cearense. Jamandua AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Paraibano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute, one of Jamandua AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jamandua AD. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Ibirocaim SS. Pedro Paulo Jacinto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Júlio Cearense. 0-2. After having played for 25 minutes, José Carlos Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamandua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carlos Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Adolfo Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gilmar Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Barreto having to interfere. Júlio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Pimenta in the 34th minute of play. Gilmar Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kléber Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Alan Simão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Paraibano in the 45th minute of play forced Jamandua AD's goalkeeper Júlio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th minute, José Vítor Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Ibirocaim SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Kléber Barreto came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Jamandua AD's José Carlos Saldanha. But to his dismay, José Carlos Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Ibirocaim SS's João Adolfo Pimenta got a free kick in the 70th minute. Gilmar Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Barreto having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Richard Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibirocaim SS and the Jamandua AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute José Carlos Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Vítor Mello struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Kléber Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamandua AD. If Gilmar Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Gilmar Gaúcho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jamandua AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Jamandua AD manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ibirocaim SS to win.
