Naldo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Brodel having to interfere. Manfredo Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Guilherme Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Percy Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Olívio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percy Brodel came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras Piatã FC's Olívio de Lara. But to his dismay, Olívio de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sílvio Paraíba came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manfredo Macedo could save by the left post. Manfredo Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Manfredo Macedo made a huge save. Evaristo de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manfredo Macedo having to make a save. Palmeiras Piatã FC's Manfredo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Rodrigues in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Guilherme Rodrigues to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Rui Quirino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percy Brodel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Naldo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jânio Freitas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manfredo Macedo. Palmeiras Piatã FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Evaristo de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manfredo Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaristo de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Manfredo Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Rodrigues in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Palmeiras Piatã FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Zézinho Gomes hit a great ball. Evaristo de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Macedo having to interfere. When Olívio de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Palmeiras Piatã FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio de Lara couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Belford Roxo Football:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palmeiras Piatã FC:s goal. Belford Roxo Football:s Percy Brodel showed great skill when he stopped Thomás Damião:s penalty. Luís Guilherme Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Manfredo Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Palmeiras Piatã FC's Naldo da Fonseca in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belford Roxo Football's goalie prevented a goal. Naldo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Brodel having to interfere. Palmeiras Piatã FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
