With his leg Egídio Campidelis managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Belford Roxo Football's Sílvio Paraíba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sílvio Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Egídio Campidelis made a huge save. Percy Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Brodel having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, BladeBoy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Macedo to maneuver through the defense. If Luís Guilherme Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Campidelis having to interfere. Percy Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Porto in the 21st minute of the match. Percy Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percy Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Rodrigues in the 40th minute of play forced BladeBoy FC's goalkeeper Egídio Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in BladeBoy FC's zone, Sílvio Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Campidelis came out of the goal and Sílvio Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Guilherme Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Campidelis having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BladeBoy FC's goalkeeper Egídio Campidelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in BladeBoy FC's zone, Sílvio Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Campidelis came out of the goal and Sílvio Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Guilherme Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Campidelis having to interfere. If Sílvio Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BladeBoy FC's Juan Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. BladeBoy FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
