The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido de Lara in the 3rd minute of play forced Moju's goalkeeper Dudu Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dudu Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Dudu Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido de Lara in the 7th minute of the match. Dudu Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Prata's late challenge caught a East Tokyo United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
