Spectators: 7224 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Dragões Vermelhos's Jacinto Veiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Santana in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renatinho do Nascimento saved East Tokyo United from getting behind. Doni Pires was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Arí Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Adelino Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragões Vermelhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eusébio Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renatinho do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Santana in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes East Tokyo United got a freekick which was hit by Victor Rodrigues. After 24 minutes of play, Dragões Vermelhos's Jacinto Veiga made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renatinho do Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Salles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Renatinho do Nascimento. East Tokyo United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renatinho do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Veiga in the 29th minute of play. Renatinho do Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Santana went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Adelino Santana hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Célio Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Eusébio Santana made a precise shot to the right of Renatinho do Nascimento. East Tokyo United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 40th minute Eusébio Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cido de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renatinho do Nascimento acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 51st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tony de Lima. After a rather tough play, East Tokyo United's Victor Rodrigues got a free kick in the 52nd minute. East Tokyo United's Renatinho do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save East Tokyo United from getting a goal against them. Eusébio Santana took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renatinho do Nascimento. Renatinho do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. If Eusébio Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Eusébio Santana sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of East Tokyo United booed when Dragões Vermelhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to East Tokyo United getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Célio Alvarenga hit a great ball. With a little luck, East Tokyo United's Renatinho do Nascimento got control of the ball when Adelino Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Donatello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cido de Lara went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute, Eusébio Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renatinho do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. In the 82nd match minute, East Tokyo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dragões Vermelhos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
