When Gildo de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capivary EC's protests and gave Gildo de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Gildo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Doni Pires came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Dragões Vermelhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doni Pires couldn't finish the play. Deivid de Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Veiga's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. If Adelino Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th match minute, Capivary EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Vieira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Santana in the 12th minute of play forced Capivary EC's goalkeeper Deivid de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragões Vermelhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Capivary EC's Alan Donatello threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Júlio Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 42 minutes into the match, Jacinto Veiga notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Capivary EC's Deivid de Sousa. Deivid de Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the game, Eusébio Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Deivid de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Dragões Vermelhos were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Vieira was the one to do the kick off. Alan Donatello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Vieira went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The Capivary EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dragões Vermelhos's performance. The match ended with a win for Dragões Vermelhos.
