After 4 minutes of play, Bengalas's Zé de Alcântara made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dé de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bengalas's Dé de Mendonça in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ararius's goalie prevented a goal. Mathias Porto made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Zé de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. Léo Linhares hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Zé de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mathias Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dé de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Porto having to interfere. Silas Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Moura having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ararius defense, Zé de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias Porto. The Ararius fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias Porto should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Bengalas getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Narciso Barreto hit a great ball. When Daniel Barral came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ararius fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Barral couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Ararius got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Dracena. Daniel Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Barral in the 46th minute of play forced Bengalas's goalkeeper Paulo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Moura having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dé de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bengalas booed when Ararius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dé de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Porto having to interfere. Daniel Barral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Moura having to make a save. Bengalas's Paulo Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Simões in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Ararius getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tomás Dracena hit a great ball. Paulo Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Barral in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Dé de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Porto. Ararius's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dé de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Dé de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Bengalas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Dé de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mathias Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Zé de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bengalas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ararius the free kick. In the 97th minute, Zé de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ararius players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bengalas.
