With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Romero in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo José Cerezo saved Barcelona from getting behind. Betão Hoffmann took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo José Cerezo. After the first half LOS HERMANOS were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Luz to make the kick off. Dênis Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. Betão Hoffmann was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. LOS HERMANOS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Barcelona's Dênis Campidelis got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Dênis Campidelis off the ground. In the 88th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as LOS HERMANOS's Afonso Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo José Cerezo. That made the score 1-5 after 91 minutes of play. If Betão Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
