Vicente Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zézinho de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Porto F.C. defense, Jaime Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Veiga. The Porto F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Veiga should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Veiga in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Veiga saved Porto F.C. from getting behind. Porto F.C.'s Vicente Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho de Azevedo in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zézinho de Azevedo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Mathias Netto put in a rough tackle. 53 minutes into the game, one of Panellas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cícero Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panellas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Porto F.C.'s Vicente Veiga got control of the ball when Zézinho de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Carlos Figueiredo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to Porto F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nelson da Cunha hit a great ball. A well done corner resulted in Zézinho de Azevedo drilling the ball in to score 1-4 behind Porto F.C.'s goalkeeper. When Vivaldo Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Panellas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Vargas couldn't finish the play. Cícero Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Porto F.C.'s goalkeeper Vicente Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zézinho de Azevedo. Vivaldo Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vicente Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panellas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Carlos Figueiredo was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 98th minute, João Carlos Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panellas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
