In the 13th minute, Octavio Egoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jardel Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Almeida having to interfere. Thiago Volpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Tróia in the 18th minute of play. If Octavio Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Metolokos MZ Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Egoi came free, but Alan Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Jardel Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alan Almeida came out of the goal and Octavio Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clube Athletico Paulinho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
