Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Fonseca in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tales Marinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bebeto Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bebeto Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bebeto Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Tales Marinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho Miranda in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Alexandre's Mané Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tales Marinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 18 played minutes Mané Fonseca rounded Madeira Futebol Clube's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Haroldo Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Tales Marinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Douglas Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Capixaba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tales Marinho was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Mané Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tales Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Madeira Futebol Clube's Tales Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Miranda in the 40th minute of play. When Dieguinho Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Alexandre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dieguinho Miranda couldn't finish the play. Mané Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 51st minute, Dieguinho Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tales Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jerônimo Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Edu Rosado made a huge save. Dieguinho Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Marinho having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Fonseca in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tales Marinho saved Madeira Futebol Clube from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Douglas Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandre's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tales Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mané Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tales Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Dieguinho Miranda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Alexandre's Aloísio Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Alexandre's Mané Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tales Marinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Douglas Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Marinho having to interfere. Mané Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Tales Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandre. When the referee ended the match the Alexandre players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
