Edu Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Salles in the 23rd minute of the match. Edson Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dieguinho Miranda's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Maricoabo's Arthur Cavalcante got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Mané Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilson Messias got free with Edu Rosado in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mané Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Alexandre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Fonseca couldn't finish the play.
