Spectators: 7164 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 100) When Noel Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Maricoabo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Rossi couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Motta in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Noel Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Motta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 8th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Maricoabo's Edson Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Maricoabo from getting a goal against them. After 11 played minutes Maricoabo got a freekick which was hit by Noel Rossi. Nando Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Messias in the 15th minute of play forced Sumemo FC's goalkeeper Olavo Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Gilson Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumemo FC's Olavo Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Wilian Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Olavo Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Messias in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Messias in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Baptista saved Sumemo FC from getting behind. Wilian Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nando Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando Salles was the one to do the kick off. Gilson Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Baptista having to interfere. Wilian Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Edson Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Maricoabo's zone, Wilian Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edson Ferreira came out of the goal and Wilian Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sumemo FC had won after a very even match.
