After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Octavio Egoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Athletico Paulinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Egoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 4 minutes into the game, Cristiano Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porto F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Athletico Paulinho the free kick. In the 4th minute, Cristiano Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Egoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Régis Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Volpi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Volpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Madureira in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Clube Athletico Paulinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Penha to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Egoi in the 31st minute of play forced Porto F.C.'s goalkeeper Vicente Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes Porto F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Mesquita. Octavio Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vicente Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Veiga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Octavio Egoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. Vicente Veiga was a little too slow when Octavio Egoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octavio Egoi was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Porto F.C.'s zone, Octavio Egoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Veiga came out of the goal and Octavio Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paulinho Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Régis Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Volpi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helger Nurmik kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Luisão Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thiago Volpi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisão Lima in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Egoi in the 74th minute of play forced Porto F.C.'s goalkeeper Vicente Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Athletico Paulinho's Thiago Volpi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Madureira in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Octavio Egoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Clube Athletico Paulinho getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Paulinho Rodrigues hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Clube Athletico Paulinho's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Madureira came free, but Thiago Volpi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Madureira in the 80th minute of play forced Clube Athletico Paulinho's goalkeeper Thiago Volpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Clube Athletico Paulinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
