In the 11th minute, Jerônimo Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Metolokos MZ Clube's Elder Catarinense got a free kick in the 12th minute. Metolokos MZ Clube's Alan Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Valadares in the 20th minute of play. Tales Marinho made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Baltazar Fontes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Amaral in the 30th minute of play forced Metolokos MZ Clube's goalkeeper Alan Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jerônimo Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madeira Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerônimo Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The wind increased when Luís Guilherme Tróia made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Madeira Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norberto Vinhas who took care of the corner kick. Denílson Valle made a great header on Metolokos MZ Clube's corner, it was just that Madeira Futebol Clube's Tales Marinho managed to reach the ball for a save. Tales Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulysses Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Alan Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Amaral in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Metolokos MZ Clube's Luís Guilherme Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tales Marinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Erasmo Amaral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alan Almeida came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Amaral slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 63rd minute. Tales Marinho came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Metolokos MZ Clube's Luís Guilherme Tróia. But to his dismay, Luís Guilherme Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Elder Catarinense hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jerônimo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Almeida having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Tróia in the 84th minute of play forced Madeira Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tales Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
