After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Adhemar Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joga 10's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvinho Valadares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adhemar Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Valadares having to interfere. Adhemar Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute Carlos Augusto Mumbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half União Bandeirante F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toninho Bastos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joga 10's Samuel Leme managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Geovânio Cavalcante in the 53 minute of the game. Joga 10's Hortêncio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Bastos in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Adhemar Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvinho Valadares was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. With a little luck, Joga 10's Hortêncio Amorim got control of the ball when Vladimir Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Augusto Mumbach took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvinho Valadares. Silvinho Valadares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Joga 10's Hortêncio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Bastos in the 79th minute of play. Téo Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, União Bandeirante F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Mumbach came free, but Silvinho Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Mendes in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvinho Valadares saved União Bandeirante F.C. from getting behind. Joga 10's attentive Wilson Maia managed to snatch the ball when Filipe Mello made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Adhemar Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvinho Valadares was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Adhemar Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvinho Valadares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Wilson Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Joga 10 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing União Bandeirante F.C. to leave the ground with a draw.
