Maquina Laranja F.C's Breno Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Maquina Laranja F.C were awarded a corner. Jacinto Munhoz went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Fabio Guter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquina Laranja F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Guter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomás Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th match minute, Audax Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Eger to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Audax Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Armando Dantas. In the 24th minute, Fabio Guter made a precise shot to the right of Thomás Sarmento. Audax Paulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 29th minute, Laércio Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes of play, Maquina Laranja F.C's Fabio Guter made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás Sarmento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nildo Melo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Richard Barral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Gaudencio Basajaun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Maquina Laranja F.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Barral was the one to do the kick off. Gaudencio Basajaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Barral in the 52nd minute of the match. Audax Paulista's Richard Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Barral in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Basajaun saved Maquina Laranja F.C from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Richard Barral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaudencio Basajaun. Maquina Laranja F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Barral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When Lúcio Eger fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Audax Paulista's protests and gave Lúcio Eger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, Audax Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Eger to maneuver through the defense. Audax Paulista's Thomás Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Audax Paulista from getting a goal against them. Thomás Sarmento came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Maquina Laranja F.C's Fabio Guter. But to his dismay, Fabio Guter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Thomás Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Munhoz in the 95th minute of play. Maquina Laranja F.C played a much better game than Audax Paulista and deserved their victory. The Audax Paulista players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
