LCC 75's Marcelinho Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Guedes in the 5th minute of play. Manoel Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Sergipano in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to LCC 75 getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Chiquinho Gaúcho hit a great ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mumbada's goalie and right to Pedro Luís Berger. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mumbada's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Manoel Rezende made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Josué da Silva sent off a good shot on target. Arlindo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Marcelinho Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Diguinho Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Víktor Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th match minute, LCC 75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Pinho to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luís Berger was the one to do the kick off. Manoel Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Sergipano went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Mumbada's zone, Pedro Luís Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Rezende came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernani Vargas's late challenge caught a LCC 75's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernani Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LCC 75 booed when Mumbada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Berger in the 96th minute of play forced Mumbada's goalkeeper Manoel Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. LCC 75 had played much better football throughout.
