Zé Paulo Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopro F.C.. In the 6th minute Zé Augusto Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Luizão Rodrigues fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luizão Rodrigues got free with Zé Paulo Veloso in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Dorin Ailioaiei fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaxco da Grana's protests and gave Dorin Ailioaiei a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Paulo Veloso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diamantino Toscano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Tande in the 28th minute of play forced Vaxco da Grana's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luizão Rodrigues in the 31st minute. Zé Augusto Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Zé Paulo Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorin Ailioaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Vaxco da Grana got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Ailioaiei. In the 46th minute, Dorin Ailioaiei made a precise shot to the right of Arthur de Brito. Sopro F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zé Augusto Tande made the kick off in the second half. Zé Augusto Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Veloso having to interfere. If Luizão Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorin Ailioaiei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arthur de Brito was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Dorin Ailioaiei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dorin Ailioaiei really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Zé Augusto Tande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Paulo Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Luizão Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Zé Paulo Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Paulo Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Dorin Ailioaiei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Dorin Ailioaiei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vaxco da Grana's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorin Ailioaiei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
