Aloísio Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cezary Cichewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aloísio Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute, Emanuel Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Estrela Dourada F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Olavo de Andrade 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 23rd minute Vito Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game Geovanni Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrela Dourada F.C.'s Cezary Cichewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aloísio Recife's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Cezary Cichewski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 34 minutes into the game, Baltazar de Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Celso Brito made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Soeiro during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cezary Cichewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovanni Mello went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Estrela Dourada F.C. defense, Aloísio Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cezary Cichewski. The Estrela Dourada F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cezary Cichewski should have stopped the shot. Samuel Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Quirino having to interfere.
