Candeia's Patrick Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Candeia from getting a goal against them. After 8 minutes of play, Candeia's Carlos Alberto Prado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Túlio Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Túlio Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Prado in the 14th minute of the match. Mazinho Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Candeia's Váldson Duarte got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Travassos was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25thth minute of the game Joaquim Tinoco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candeia's Patrick Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgard Varela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrick Travassos. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. Patrick Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vágner Veiga in the 36th minute. Candeia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Mazinho Paraense scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Travassos, making the score, 2-1. Edgard Varela took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Travassos. Patrick Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Váldson Duarte made a kick off. The supporters of Prados SS booed when Candeia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Barreto during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Prados SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Patrick Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mazinho Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st minute, Bruno Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Mazinho Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Prados SS's Joaquim Tinoco in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candeia's goalie prevented a goal. But to his dismay, Joaquim Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 78th minute, Bruno Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prados SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Mazinho Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Rosa went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. After 90 played minutes Candeia got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Duarte. 94 minutes into the game, William Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candeia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Prados SS the free kick. After 96 played minutes Candeia got a freekick which was hit by William Cardoso. Prados SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
