Dudu Duarte started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Itatuba SS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Kauã de Mendonça hit a great ball. Mazinho Paraense struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Benê Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prados SS. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itatuba SS's goalkeeper Benê Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juarês Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prados SS's Túlio Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Albuquerque in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Itatuba SS's Benê Chaves got control of the ball when Joaquim Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benê Chaves was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Edgard Varela capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgard Varela really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Itatuba SS's zone, Edgard Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benê Chaves came out of the goal and Edgard Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Juarês Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Tinoco in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benê Chaves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 27th match minute, Prados SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Juarês Albuquerque had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Túlio Vaz. Prados SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Albuquerque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vítor Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Túlio Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juarês Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Vaz having to interfere. Prados SS's Túlio Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Albuquerque in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Itatuba SS's Benê Chaves got control of the ball when Mazinho Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Joaquim Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vágner Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Itatuba SS defense, Joaquim Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benê Chaves. The Itatuba SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benê Chaves should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mazinho Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prados SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Joaquim Tinoco put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benê Chaves. Juarês Albuquerque was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Joaquim Tinoco sped through Itatuba SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benê Chaves. Itatuba SS's Benê Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Tinoco in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Joaquim Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prados SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Prados SS's Dadá Figueiredo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Prados SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
