Túlio Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Tinoco in the 21st minute of play. Zé Paulo Veloso came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Prados SS's Vágner Veiga. But to his dismay, Vágner Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bruno Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Vaxco da Grana's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Tinoco came free, but Zé Paulo Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléber Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Túlio Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Varela in the 37th minute of play forced Vaxco da Grana's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Prados SS booed when Vaxco da Grana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mazinho Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Veloso was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Edgard Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Prados SS fully deserved thier win.
